Джексон Моша из Танзании: магистратура по биомедицинской инженерии в Цинхуа

The funding combination

The account describes a Chinese Government Scholarship combined with a living allowance, which is the standard CSC structure: tuition, accommodation and medical insurance covered in full, plus a monthly stipend, with the possibility of additional support through the supervisor's research group.

For engineering and science master's students, that combination — CSC core funding plus a supervisor's grant — is what makes a top-tier Chinese university financially comparable to a funded position in Europe, and it is worth asking about explicitly during supervisor contact.

What the record shows

Three research papers and a university innovation award over the course of a master's is a research-oriented degree outcome rather than a taught-degree one, and it indicates that the applicant joined an active laboratory rather than attending lectures.

That distinction is the practical one for prospective applicants choosing between universities: at Chinese research universities the supervisor's group determines what you actually do, so the choice of supervisor usually matters more than the choice of institution.

Reading the account

As with the other accounts from this source, it is promotional material published by a placement agency. The mechanism it illustrates — funded master's plus an active supervisor — is real and documented widely; the specific outcomes are individual.

For comparison, the CSC stipend at master's level is CNY 3,000 per month and at doctoral level CNY 3,500, with accommodation either provided on campus or replaced by a monthly off-campus subsidy where the university allows it.
