The application process for Chinese student visas has moved largely online. Most applicants complete the visa application form and book an appointment through the COVA system at cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn, and the Visa Application for Study in China forms — JW201 for Chinese Government Scholarship holders and JW202 for self-funded students, plus the DQ form for X2 applicants — are now issued electronically and can be downloaded and printed from studyinchina.edu.cn.

The core document set is unchanged: a passport valid for at least six months with a blank page, the completed application form and photograph, the university admission notice, and the JW or DQ form. Applicants applying outside their home country must also provide evidence of legal residence there.

Consular officials may request additional documents or an interview. Expedited processing is available at many missions for an additional fee in the range of CNY 170–250, payable on collection.

Las cifras de matrícula, plazos y estipendios se revisan cada ciclo. Confirma siempre la situación actual con la oficina de estudiantes internacionales de la universidad y en el portal oficial campuschina.org antes de solicitar.
