Bourses du Guangdong et de la Grande Baie pour étudiants internationaux

Provincial and municipal schemes

The Guangdong Provincial Government Scholarship offers full and partial awards at Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, Jinan University and other provincial institutions, applied for through the host university.

Shenzhen invests heavily in its universities and their graduate research; SUSTech, HIT Shenzhen and the Shenzhen graduate schools of Peking and Tsinghua universities all offer research assistantships that effectively supplement a scholarship with laboratory funding.

Belt and Road specific funding

Guangdong runs several schemes reserved for applicants from Belt and Road partner countries, and Sun Yat-sen University has dedicated allocations for Southeast Asian and African students. These are frequently undersubscribed relative to the CSC main scheme and are worth checking directly with the university international office.

Sun Yat-sen and Jinan University also have dedicated overseas-Chinese and Hong Kong, China / Macao, China / Taiwan, China student schemes with separate fee structures.

Cost picture

Guangdong combines lower living costs than Shanghai with the largest number of scholarship places outside the capital region, so a partial award here frequently stretches further than a full award in a more expensive city.
