CSCA: el examen académico ahora exigido a todo solicitante de beca de grado
The second and final required CSCA sitting for September 2026 enrolment took place on 25 January. From now on, no undergraduate CSC application is complete without a valid score report.
The China Scholastic Competency Assessment has moved from novelty to standard requirement. Every applicant for a Chinese Government Scholarship undergraduate programme must register for and sit CSCA and upload a valid score report before the scholarship deadline, and an increasing number of self-funded bachelor's programmes now require or accept it in place of their own entrance examination.
CSCA is an academic subject and reasoning test, not a language test. Mathematics is standard, and science, engineering, medicine and economics programmes generally require a second subject paper. Registration, test centres and subject syllabi are published at csca.cn.
The practical implication for applicants is a longer runway: the test must be sat in December or January for September entry, which means preparation begins in the autumn of the previous year — before most university application deadlines.
